I'm pretty sure I still have that box, and the miniatures buried away somewhere in the attic...a bunch of the other Grenadier boxes as well. Probably worth their weight in gold, these days...

Mine look exactly like that except with almost all the bendy weapons broken off, tons of wear from handling and paint jobs from an 8 year old.

Ross is one of those artists were I respect that he's very good at what he does, but I don't actually like his art very much. I guess I just prefer my fantastical characters to be a bit less towards the photorealistic side.

Thank you, that sums up my feelings as well. His craft and skill are obvious, but I prefer my comic book art to be more dynamic

I thought he was great in Kingdom Come where the art matched the feel of the story. But I've not been compelled by his other stuff.

I have a similiar issue with Vallejo and Julie Bell's comicbook paintings - they are so statically posed that there is no dynamic/living quality.

I look at the art of my favourite comicbook artists, and I can see them moving, living. With that sorta painted stuff it feels like I'm getting a posed photograph.

Newer cars are built with crumple zones. Of courses, cars have always had crumple zones - but before the modern era they were sitting in the front seats.

Yeah, there's a few that aren't bad. IG, Real Ghostbusters, Jace & The Wheeled Warriors, The D&D cartoon, and Jem I can still watch without dying of cringe.
